Forget about Wedding Photography... Live oil painting is the new in - thing!!!

We thought we would keep you in the know!! we found that guy, Sam Day, and he is AWESOME. He does oil painting, live at events. It's classier than wedding photography, original and it means you can hang a souvenir of your wedding in your living room without it being way too cheesy!

Images speak more than words!!!

We think it's a great way of keeping your guests interested and stand out from the crowd! If you are getting married, make sure you get an oil painting.

Your wedding emergency kit

Your wedding day has arrived and you are walking on clouds. It's the best day of your life, your day... the day where everything is about you.
The weather is perfect, the schedule is smooth, you feel gorgeous and you are marrying the man of your dream... then... bang!
A catastrophe strikes and your wedding turns into a nightmare:

Your bridesmaid arrives drunk
Your dress gets stained by your lipstick
A pigeon relieves itself on your grooms hair
you wake up with bags under your eyes or a massive spot on your forehead
The make up artist or photographer doesn't show up

Next thing you know...you going CRAZY!!!!

Really anything can happen... To avoid last minute madness, you have to be prepared for the worst.

Our advice is getting an emergency kit. It won't fix being dumped at the altar but if you get a wine stain on your dress or your manicure goes wrong it can help fix these tiny bump on your journey to wedding bliss.

Bridal emergency kits can be put together by the bridesmaid, the bride. you will need a thorough list of what should be included. To save time you can also buy a ready-made one. Some American company already retail them.

Mojuba is quite a good one as the design is nice and doesn't reminisce a toiletry bag.

In Wedding Essence by Atypique Wedding, you will find the complete checklist of what brides need on their wedding day.

A stress free wedding: say Bye Bye Drama

One chapter of our first publication deals with Stress management during your wedding planning. Our approach to weddings in general is very holistic.

Here's how we think you should deal with the stress involved in wedding planning:

- Stay away from those who stress you the most: you can make them busy or just ban them from approaching you. Make sure they are overwhelmed with stuff to do so they don't bother you or ensure they are excluded for your entire planning.

- Have a 'wedding-free day' when the word wedding is banned from your vocabulary, schedule, EVERYTHING!!!!!!

- Don't panic!

Remember why you are getting married in the first place. If it's stressing you even more, talk to your fiancé as it might be a deeper issue that needs to be resolved before walking down the aisle

- Again, don't panic

- Delegate! You will feel less overwhelmed and what might feel like a burden will no longer be so heavy!!

- Be knowledgeable!! When you know what you are dealing with whether it's suppliers, flowers, table arrangements, you feel confidence!! Get information on the aspects that you feel ignorant in and ask for help when necessary.

- Have warm baths with AROMATHERAPY OILS, meditate, take some YOGA classes, work-out to evacuate the stress, have massages and treat yourself to at least one pampering session... you deserve it!!

Avoid a boring wedding: Have a wedding theme.

Introduce some fun to your wedding affair and avoid having drunk uncles and cousins sleeping on the table out of boredom in addition to alcohol. A wedding theme is a good idea to entertain your guests and add some pizazz to your party.

Whether you decide to have have a Casino Royal Wedding, Cabaret bridal party, Arabic Fantasy wedding entertainment, Medieval or Winter Wonderland wedding theme is up to you.

Remember it doesn't take much to achieve great results:

For an Arabic wedding theme, you can have belly dancers entertaining your guest and bringing them to the dance floor.

For a casino theme you could have blackjack or poker tables and hire some slot machines.

Possibilities are endless!!
You could even specify a dress code on your wedding invitation and have your guests dressed according to your theme.
Either way, it will be fun original and stand out from the traditional Victorian Wedding Affair.

Crunch in the mouth: go French with your wedding cake

The 'Croque-en Bouche ' is a classic French style wedding cake. It's a great alternative to the traditional iced-white-wedding-cake and will ravish your guests' taste buds.

It's made of profiteroles (choux pastries) filled with creme patissiere (French custard). They are dipped in caramelised sugar which when set gives the cake's name justice: crunch in the mouth.

It's traditionally decorated with nougatine curls and sugar almonds with an optional spun sugar veil, but cake maker often offer a variety of options like chocolate fillings, vanilla flavouring our Baileys finishing.

You can serve the choux with fresh fruits for a summer feel or caramel and chocolate sauce in winter.

It's a winner and we can't get enough of it!!
